Live Online Tutoring: Grades K-5

Students in grades K-5 will have 24-7 access to live tutoring services to provide support with daily classroom instruction. The all-in-one suite of tutoring services is designed for a wide range of academic needs, whether it is tackling a tough homework problem, mastering a particular topic, or writing a paper. Students can access live, on-demand academic help and skills-building lessons from expert tutors. Tutors and students communicate in real time through a chat feature in an online classroom by typing, drawing and marking-up lessons and web content.

Student Accident Insurance

Participation in the plan is voluntary and made available through school publications annually and parents are urged to purchase it for their children.

If you don’t already have accident insurance for your child, Cumberland County Schools has contracted with Markel and AJ Gallagher to offer coverage, which you may purchase at their website anytime during the school year by visiting http://markeL.sevencorners.com. Lunch Information

Beginning August 17, meal pick up will be available from 11:00-12:30 p.m. at Spring Lake Middle, W.T. Brown Elementary, and the Spring Lake Recreation Center.

CCS meal sites will continue to serve meals to all children 18 years and younger at no charge, in accordance with the announcement made on August 31 by the U.S. Department of (USDA).

 

        
Community Eligibility Information for Parents

The provision enables each student enrolled in the participating schools to receive a breakfast and lunch at no charge on days when school is in session. Students enrolled at participating CEP schools are not required to submit a lunch application to receive meals at no charge. Lillian Black Elementary will be participating in this program for the 2020-2021 school year.
